A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been a tutor of sorts. I love to teach kids because of the sparkle they get in their eyes when they finally understand what they are being taught. Each child have a different learning style so I try to work with them to see what works for them. I have worked with kids who have ADD and the gifted. The greatest thing I can teach is that we can teach to create intelligence, but wisdom comes from using all that you know.
I started tutoring in 7th grade back in 1976. I have been tutoring my own kids for over 14 years. I have been a Scout leader for over 9 years. I worked with boys ages 5 to 18 years of age. I have brought 2 learning disabled teens into my home to help them graduate High School. Both have gone on to be Certified Welders. I have taught in classes with adult professionals in the area of design and illustration. I have provided knowledge from the outside professional work froce in which I have givin direction obtained in real life situations in decission making and executing and reaching potential goals in the work arena. I have also shown the prblem solving skills in the classroom to be a proven track to the experience in the day to day assignments expected to achieve in a professional position.
I would prepare the student to advance his or her knowledge to be able to tackle the professional potential in the reality work force, or next level of learning.
