A Little Bit About Me...

I was an assistant band director at vigor high school from 2003 til 2007. I've worked with brass and woodwind instrumentalist in preparation for honor band and concert band. I am currently the music instructor at mcintosh elementary school
I love teaching music and working with children that are as excited about music as I am. I am a trumpet player and have been playing for 20 plus years. I am a believer in practice makes perfect and will require my students to keep a practice log and ask that the parent be as consistent as I am in assuring their child practices as much as necessary to reach their maximum potential

I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Worship Leadership, and am currently working on a Master's in Elementary Education. I am also currently teaching myself Spanish and Mandarin. My degree was writing-intensive, so I have extensive experience with writing research papers. In the past four years, I have taught piano, percussion, guitar, voice, and worked with K-3rd grade students after school at a local elementary school.
