A Little Bit About Me...

I have completed my Master's at SUNY Fredonia in Literacy I: Birth to Grade 6. I have been a substitute teacher in the past for one year. I taught grades Pre-K to Grade 12. At this time I am a full-time Pre-Kindergarten teacher at a Catholic school in Dunkirk, NY. I have experience tutoring children both through school districts and through field placements through SUNY Fredonia.
Children are all capable of learning. It is important to recognize that each child is different. Children learn at their own pace. Hands-on activities are a great way to help children apply information that they have learned. I am a dedicated educator that strives to help all children succeed.

I have extensive experience working with dually diagnosed individuals. The students I taught not only had difficulty learning but also exhibited some emotional and mental difficulties. I work well with students both individually and in group lessons. My special education experience has provided me with an ability to identify where and why students are having difficulty learning. I am able to easily modify and adapt lessons to a students needs.
I enjoy working with and teaching all levels of students and children. No two children learn in the same way.
