This December I will graduate with a BA in English Adolescence Education. My 3.95 GPA shows my drive for academic excellence and passion for knowledge. My writing, reading, research, and critical analysis skills have been honed through my studies. Furthermore, my experience outside my college courses have taught me the skills necessary to teaching. I have been a teacher assistant for the past two years. I worked at a school with special education students who needed much one-on-one help. Before earning a BA in Biology at Skidmore College and after graduating high school, I took three years off to play hockey. Concurrently, I enrolled in classes at Mount Wachusett Community College in Massachusetts and tutored in the math department. I tutored students in algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and some calculus. At Skidmore I continued in math, taking calculus I, II, and III, and linear algebra before focusing my attention on molecular biology. I habitually studied with my classmates and I found great satisfaction helping others understand complex subject matter.
