I worked for a college level school in Mexico(Conalep)for 5 years,use to teach Math,Biology, Pnewmatic, Hydraulic, and in the past years I work in diferent levels of comunity teaching conferences for my hispanic neighbords. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching Mathematics and helping students realize their true potential. I am not a 'mathematician' , I am a teacher who understands math, so my teaching style is very student centered. My focus is to simplify math concepts to the level of each student for better understanding. Mathematics can be very intimidating to students so my goal as a teacher is to help students gain confidence in their skills and have a positive learning experience.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Secondary Education and a BS in Business Administration. My education major is in spanish but I am also certified to teach Mathematics. The majority of my teaching experience is in Mathematics. I am currently an 8th grade Pre-Algebra teacher and also work teaching Algebra at Pima Community College. I have tutored students in spanish and math for over 10 years.

Each individual is different. Therefore, you have to know the person first in order to apply a teaching style. Age, gender, and subject matter are some elements that influence how a person learns. Some people learn visually, some people learn by practicing, some people don't want to learn. My style varies according to the individual and what he or she likes or dislikes. As a tutor my role can be from formal authority, demonstrator, facilitator and delegator. Key elements in the classroom: 1) facilitate interaction and 2) delivery of the content to student.
