A Little Bit About Me...

I worked for a college level school in Mexico(Conalep)for 5 years,use to teach Math,Biology, Pnewmatic, Hydraulic, and in the past years I work in diferent levels of comunity teaching conferences for my hispanic neighbords. My experience in working in laboratories give me skills and knowledges to prepaid the student in a real work environment and apply the science to a high expectations.
My style is liberal , with tutory in one to one, my experience in retail stores make my style in a easy going. I born to be a teacher, my Mother was a teacher in elementary level. A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a teaching degree in Secondary Education in the social studies subject area, after studying at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. I have worked for ten years in education, with students as young as infants up to high school seniors, and all in between. For the past six years I have worked with ELL (english as a second language) students on the Navajo reservation and on the Mexican border at Nogales, Arizona. I have worked to bring up the reading level of these students in my social studies classes. I have great knowledge in my subject area, social studies, and the skills and patience it takes to tutor students in all levels of english reading and writing.

Each individual is different. Therefore, you have to know the person first in order to apply a teaching style. Age, gender, and subject matter are some elements that influence how a person learns. Some people learn visually, some people learn by practicing, some people don't want to learn. My style varies according to the individual and what he or she likes or dislikes. As a tutor my role can be from formal authority, demonstrator, facilitator and delegator. Key elements in the classroom: 1) facilitate interaction and 2) delivery of the content to student. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is to make sure that those I am helping understand what is being talked about. If they do not, we will keep working at it until clear. Since all teaching ways do not work for all students, I try to figure out what would work best for those I am currently tutoring, so that they will succeed.
I have tutored through the organization Literacy Volunteers in Flagstaff and Lake Havasu. Additionally, I tutored English in a refugee camp in Zambia, when I was with the Peace Corps. While living in Bangladesh, I tutored adults and children in English, as well as other subjects. I taught for three years in Bangladesh at International Turkish Hope School.
