Teaching and coaching students to excel is a gift, and I was blessed with that gift. I believe in teaching students in the manner in which they learn--whether they are visual, auditory, or a combination of both. I believe in tailoring my teaching style to the particular style that is best suited for the individual student by trying different approaches until finding the approach that is successful. As a student at Florida State University, Panama City Campus, I have been learning how to educate and tutor children. I began tutoring high school and college students in 1986. I have 6 children of my own who I have raised and taught science and mathematics. I worked 2 years as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida and was a volunteer instructor at Brigham Young University. I speak Japanese fluently and am semi fluent in German.
