A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is very subjective. Each individual learns according to his/her own style. What I find challenging and rewarding is to find that point where it “clicks”. I believe the best way to learn is through experience and discovery. As an example, I can describe the intelligence of an octopus. But until you actually see a video of one opening a jar for a treat, do you truly realize it as a thinking, planning being. I feel that teaching an individual how to use available resources is just as important as the actual subject. Enabling a student to go out and discover the wonders around him/her through research and education is a wonderful thing indeed.

I have tutored students from ages 5-18 in all subjects including English (reading and grammar), math, social studies, and science. A Little Bit About Me...

I have grown up knowing that teaching is a fundamental need for our lives. Both my parents are teachers, and I have always been good at explaining things to others. As I pursued my career choices one of the most important goals for me has been to give others the opportunities at learning that I have enjoyed.
