I have spent the last three year being a nanny and tutor for kids in a variety of age groups. I have worked with all kinds of kids including special needs children, group home kids, High school students in AP classes, and Dyslexic children. I also have taught swim and Flute lessons in the past. I really enjoy working with children and, form my experience, children really enjoy working with me.
I find it's best to get to know each child individually before picking a teaching style to use. Most of my students have been successful because I mold me tutoring plans around their individual needs

A Little Bit About Me...

I received a PhD in psychology in 1974 from Claremont Graduate School. I taught 8 semesters at Ventura Community College and I have two community college credentials(psychology and special education). I am a licensed psychologist and I perform psychological assessments for the Department of Rehabilitation. I obtained an AA degree in mathematics in 1989. I currently work part-time as an Instructional Assistant at Sacramento City College. My duties include tutoring students in math and science, and leading workshops pertaining to study skills, time management, test taking, and stress reduction. I also tutor high school and college students in algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and chemistry.
