I like to work one on one with books. I write out examples and explain different ways to approach a problem to help Foster different learning styles. I think it is important to be able to teach when the school systems move from books to tablets for classrooms.
I am a stay at home of a toddler. I am currently getting my associates degree in veterinary technology. I moved to Anniston about a year ago. Before I moved I tutored my brother since kindergarden. He is now in 7th grade. I graduated from Florence High School with an advanced diploma with a B average. I have a passion for science. This also fosters my love for math and English. Many children struggle with classroom learning because they require a different learning method than the one being offered or more direct attention than a teacher of 20+ students can offer. As a dyslexia therapist I was instructed in a number of different approaches to teaching and how to match each one to an individual student's needs. As a tutor I make it my priority to learn not only which subjects a student needs help with but also why they are struggling at all which allows me to adapt the lesson plan in a way that is easy for them to understand and retain.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an engineering graduate, I know that hard work, dedication, and diligent study habits are often required to succeed in school. These qualities are some that if carried on throughout life will help to always achieve excellence. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor degree in biomedical engineering. I graduated with a 3.6 GPA, which allowed me to walk with honors. Throughout my studies I have written many papers so I am comfortable with grammar, but many of my classes were math and biology based.
