Looking for help with Engineering, Math or Computer Science?

I like to try and figure out how a student goes about understanding different topics. Often times teachers teach right from the textbook, but this can be confusing and students can be left behind because they learn differently. I know from experience that lectures don't always help and that another approach can be best.
I am currently a PhD student in Computer and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland. I have both my B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University.
