My comments on tutoring Grammar : My university education provided a thorough grammar education. Classes such as History and Development of the English Language as well as my involvement in the campus newspaper honed the skills I had acquired in previous schooling. I also have classroom experience teaching grammar fundamentals to high school and college students. Recent Graduate Looking To Help

I am a recent graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania (May 2011). I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in creative writing. I also have a minor in photography. During my time at Mercyhurst College, I worked as a writing tutor in the school’s writing center. As an adult I realized that my true calling was teaching, and I advanced my education to become an educator. Teaching is very subjective. Each individual learns according to his/her own style. What I find challenging and rewarding is to find that point where it “clicks”. I believe the best way to learn is through experience and discovery. As an example, I can describe the intelligence of an octopus. But until you actually see a video of one opening a jar for a treat, do you truly realize it as a thinking, planning being.
