My comments on tutoring Calculus II : I have a good understanding of this material!

I like to explain the mathematical concepts I am teaching. I most like to help those that are having a difficulty understanding the material, rather than those that need the answer to one or two problems. I do not mind repeating myself and like to help the student learn.
I have gone through many math courses, including higher level math courses (complex variables, numerical methods, linear algebra ll) during college. I know how to teach students to learn and understand math material so they can walk into a test and apply that knowledge. I also have experience solving engineering problems and using different methods to solve those problems, such as numerical methods.

Mainly with visual techniques.
Have been tutoring since 1983, was an Math teacher for one year in an internship that ended when the city went bankrupt. I would describe myself as a very patient and understanding person. I always make sure that the student understand the concept and is comfortable with the explanations given to him/her before continuing with the problem. Being successful in tutoring, is realizing that the student is able to complete a problem on his/her own without my help.
I earned two bachelors degrees from LSU: one in Mathematics and one in Computer Sciences. But I would be more interested in tutoring FRENCH. I am a native FRENCH speaker and I've been in the country for over 20 years.
