My life has been filled with teaching and working with children. At the age of ninteen as a very young mother I felt a sense of duty in teaching my children how to achive higher than they can ever have imagined. I love to see the look of awe on their faces when they realize that they to can understand which ever subject that slips them. The rest is simple practice, practice, practice seals the deal. Then stride to the next hurdle. Each child has a different way of learning things. I find many times that a child can have to much or to little of something in their lives which interrupts their natural thought pattern. A Little Bit About Me...

Although I feel lecture, guided instruction and practice are a very important part of teaching mathemeatics, it is usually not enough as abstract ideas have difficulting finding relavence with most students. I rely heavily on my past experiences in my engineering career to draw real world examples to bridge this relevence gap. Additionally, I make extensive use of the TI84 graphing calculator to suppliment all lessons possible for the visually and kinestetic learner. I have a real passion for math and science and believe any willing student can become proficient in advanced courses such as Trigonometry, Calculus and Physics if the proper mentoring is given.
