During the completion of my BMA, I accepted a tutoring position and tutored all students (including disabled students) for two years. I eventually moved on to substituting for professors and even gained an assistant to the professor position, which included developing and teaching lesson plans. I have excellent communication skills with students and the ability to determine effective ways to help each student learn in their unique way. I have a strong interest in the sciences of the world. I earned a bachelor degree in ecology including a minor in botany. I also earned a Master degree in biology studying mountain quail. During my undergraduate and graduate education I participated in the GK-12 program as a scientist in residence. I spent 20 hours a week in the middle school and high school setting for two years. The purpose of the GK-12 program was to help increase scientific literacy in southern Idaho. Teaching is in my blood. Both my parents were teachers. My father was a college professor and my mother was an elementary school teacher. As a PSR working in the school setting I students that were considered by some as untrainable. Often the students believed they were unable to learn or were dumb since they had always been told they were. I was able to work with some of the most difficult. I have a bachelors degree in business administration and an associates degree in health administration. I have had experience teaching preschoolers and help my own children at home.
