I have lead many training sessions dealing with a multitude of different topics. I do my homework, and make sure I am fully prepared before any training session. I want to make sure I know the answers to any possible question before the questions are asked. I have tutored students one-on-one and in small groups from different levels of math to every aspect of English, grammar, and writing. I have taught many classes in painting and drawing, and I am a constant student of all areas of art, including photography.
My personal style of learning is to learn by doing. I try to put myself in the student's shoes and find which method of teaching can reach the student best. I try to identify the student's strengths and weaknesses and work out a program to help him or her achieve his or her goals. I also like to involve the parents or guardians as much as possible to keep them updated on the student's progress and how they can contribute to the learning process. From what I have observed as a substitute teacher at different schools, some teachers have a lot of subject knowledge but lack the teaching skills to get the most out of the students.

Many students struggle with relationships and well as their academics. I believe in creating a safe, nuturing environment were a student is able to work at his own pace, at his own level, and feel a bond with his teacher. Setting realistic and obtainable goals with the student is a key factor to success. Measuring and documenting progress allows student, teacher, and family to see a visual record of growth. Addressing multiple intelligences and multiple learning styles are essential for struggling students. Finding a student's best mode of learning increases self-esteem and time on task.
