I have both a bachelors degree and masters degree in business administration/management. Both of these degrees have given me a high level of knowledge in many areas such as finance, accounting, math in general, writing, and presentations/projects. I have always been an extremely sharp student excelling in most any course I have taken. I could tutor any of the k-12 age groups, and probably many college level students (depending on the course). I have experience in training others through my work as a service coordinator and a supervisor at a fortune 500 company.
My teaching style really depends on the person I am working with. People learn different ways. It is important to identify what works best for the person. For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter. I like to identify how the person lear ... read more

I love the Socratic method and enjoy presenting different scenarios for students to synthesize what they have learned. I teach with differenciated instruction, as not all students learn the same way or in the same time. I also consider the learning modalities and multiple intelligences learning styles in my classroom learning environment. I love teaching and making a difference for young students

I sat for and passed the FDOE state exam for Language Arts 6-12. I have spent the last five years teaching social science education 8th grade American history. The current 2009-10 school year I am teaching 11th grade American history, government and economics (12th). I love to teach and love helping students become successful. My college experience in the subjects of Economics, Government, Language, Math, Science, and Social Studies was rigorous. After finishing undergraduate courses, I worked for a program that sent college students out to public schools to be Teacher's Aids. We were expected to help any students who were falling behind in a subject. The experience was so rewarding that after graduation, I took a position working with troubled students convicted of sexual assault, teaching them math and science for six months. That time was more challenging since students had wide-ranging ages and special needs. I learned how to work with I.E.Ps. Later, I worked as a tutor/teacher at a middle school in L.A. This assignment was my longest and most memorable.
