I have a special passion for Mathematics. I love teaching mathematics and would love to impact my knowledge in children. I love to work with children. I had 2 of my own. I believe children can learn if you show them the direct way; as a math or chemistry tutor I use some easy techniques that children can learn and remember by; but basically just show them by examples. I believe that you have to understand the material well then explain to them the easy way to remember. My teaching style depends on the student and subject I'm dealing with. For the non-reading adults I started by teaching them letter recognition and basic sounds; moved on to simple words; then sentances. During my college class I would review the evening's lesson and goals, then have the students perform the exercise in the textbooks. During the practical exercise I made myself available to all the students and gave one-on-one instruction to those that needed it. I taught all subjects for adult learners preparing for the GED tests through Region IX Education Services Center's Adult Education program for 4 years in the evenings.
