I believe that each student is different, and that the best teaching method differs with each student. Some students respond better to being challenged while others will require smaller steps. The goals of the students also vary, some needing only to pass while others need a solid foundation in anticipation of further study. I believe I can tailor instruction to the students' needs.
I graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Math classes included Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations and Matrices, and Engineering Math. My MS in Engineering Management included several classes in Statistics and Probabilities. I tutored middle school students 12 hours per week for two years at Ramstein Middle School, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

While a doctoral student in finance, I assisted Professor David Rush in teaching Basic Finance to an auditorium of undergraduates. I had two parts to perform. I maintained office hours to meet with students who had questions or problems to help them understand what they may have missed in the challenging lectures; and I carried once a week lectures to make that week's material more interesting to those who attended. While a doctoral student in public administration, I assisted a faculty member by grading Basic Statistics papers.
