My teaching style is has proven to work with many students. The most important issue with tutoring is to identify where the student has the most difficulty. I use analogies and real world situations that students are familiar with to convey abstract concepts. Although I am patient and encourage fun in learning, I urge students to meet their goals and then exceed their own expectations. As a graduate student, I taught beginning and intermediate German language classes for 4 semesters, receiving above average evaluations each semester. Even after I had completed my Masters program, I was asked by the Foreign Language Department to return for the summer semesters to teach as a lecturer.
