I have history tutoring microbiology, physiology, and anatomy while earning my undergraduate degree. I tutored through the Wintrode Tutoring Center on the SDSU campus and was an intern for the anatomy and microbiology lab classes. Upon graduation I applied and was accepted into the University of South Dakota's Sanford School of Medicine. I went for one year, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and have now decided to pursue a different passion in life besides medicine as I voluntarily withdrew in July of 2015. I teach in a high school Resource Room, a program designed primarily for students with learning disabilities or at-risk students- those students who are at-risk of failing a subject due to reading/comprehension difficulties, the fast pace of the regular classroom, or a learning style that does not fit the traditional classroom. My expertise is designing a course of study that fits the individual needs of the student - finding out how they learn best so they are able to learn. In May of 2009 I graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Chemistry. During my undergraduate career I worked a semester as a Supplemental Instruction Leader. My position required me to help further students understanding of Molecular and Cellular Biology.
