I have a strong belief in a strengh based interview before I ever start teaching/tutoring a student. This gives me an idea of HOW the student learns, which "intelligence" he most readily learns by (from Gardner's Multiple Intelligences). I have had experience in all grades form age 3 to age 17 and have three grown children. My "style" is very science and music based as those are my two strong intelligences which fit beautifully with reading in particular. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring and teaching since I entered college. I have helped multiple friends of mine through difficult classes that they needed for their degree. I have held many study groups for difficult upper level math classes that my peers struggled with. I was a teacher assistant for Calculus 1 where I held the largest study group on all of campus. The same thing happened as a student teacher at Amherst Middle School. I have taught private piano lessons to students from the ages of 6 - 13 for the last 3+ years. I have a great deal of customer service experience working for both M&T Bank and Key Bank. I excelled in Reading and English subjects throughout school, reading multiple grade levels ahead of myself. I was a writer for Nardin Academy's newspaper and also for Canisius College's newspaper. I have teaching experience in home instruction in flute and piano.
