I have experience tutoring math over the last 4 years. I have been in the high level math classes throughout my entire life. I am a very thorough when i teach and make sure the student understands the material before moving on. I am extremely patient and make sure I move at a speed that the student understands. I have never tutored in other subjects but am comfortable with doing so.

With my years of being around and in an educational environment, I have picked up patterns of repetition and summary to reinforce ideas being conveyed. I, myself, learn best by doing. Through studying adult learning styles, I discovered that studies show utilizing all facets of learning - writing, audio, visual, and hands on - leads to the highest levels of retention. I am passionate about teaching and learning, and I love all people. I am an advocate of task-based learning, multiple intelligences, and the all-around inductive/constructivist approach to learning. I am a firm believer in the idea that all people have the same innate capacity to learn, but that this is manifested in different ways.
