A Little Bit About Me...

Through my volunteer work with church organizations I have over five years of experience mentoring others, which has given me an excellent understanding of the need for quality educators. I worked as a teacher in Kansas before moving to Oklahoma, where I currently work at a local Boys and Girls Club. There tutoring is a part of the daily activities and youth in various grade levels ask for help with numerous subject matter. Additionally, my educational experience as an English/Education major has given me a good foundation of writing and critical thinking skills that translate as an ability to teach a variety of subjects.

As I am a current Ph.D. student in English Literature, I have an immense interest in education--not only my own education but also the education of others. As I have been working on my two graduate degrees--an MA and a Ph.D in English Literature--I have been fully invested in preparing myself to become a teacher of English, literature, and composition.
