I never set out to work with children but after I was hired to be a teacher assistant for young children with autism I can’t imagine doing anything else. Again, I have learned that all children learn differently and one approach does not work for all. I have several tried and true techniques to guide my son in the learning (in mainly reading and comprehension) and not only help him learn, but to make it an enjoyable experience. I have spent my whole adullt life tutoring, mentoring and being a role model to others by being involved as a coach for the local Pop Warner football team, as well as serving as a tutor to three middle school/high school students, in the subject of math, science and social studies.
