Chess is one of my top subjects! I can play chess, Chinese chess and Weiqi (Go) (a Chinese traditional chess with more than 1,000 years history).

In 1995, I began my official tutoring odyssey by assisting my classmates in AP Calculus. Every day during lunch I spent my half-hour helping my fellow high school seniors succeed, ultimately achieving a 4/5 on the AP exam and guiding others to similar grades. Math seems like it is filled with "tricks" that seem impossible to know unless you were born with some innate gift. When I teach, I seek to show, step-by-step. how to think about a problem as more than a set of symbols on paper. I seek to impart the critical thinking skills that reveal why those tricks aren't tricks at all, but are instead a natural part of the grammar of math and science.
