Recent Clemson graduate and experienced tutor!

I am recent graduate with a degree in French and a minor in biological sciences from Clemson University. In addition I have worked as a supplemental instructor at Clemson for chemistry students, which involves preparing review material and tutoring small to medium groups. I am familiar with the tutor cycle and other methods of effectively relaying information to students so that they can learn and develop their capabilities as a student.
I have experience with leading groups of students and one-on-one tutoring. I like to use examples, practice problems, and practical applications in teaching. I also encourage students to do as much work as possible on their own so that they develop their abilities and feel capable.

Hello! I am a research chemist working at Clemson University. I received my doctorate at University of Chicago in 2019 in the physical sciences. I tutored Math, Science, Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, and Biology. I taught college level General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry classes as well as tutoring 1-on-1 and group sessions. I love that look that you get from a child who gets what you are teaching them. When the light bulb turns on, and you know that they understand the process. That's what makes it all worth it. My teaching style is that with enough work, any child can succeed. They just have to know they matter to the teacher. I am a hands on learner myself so visual tools help me to teach the concepts to students.
I am a graduate of Clemson University, with a BA in Biological Sciences. I have always enjoyed biology since my first AP class my Junior year of high school. After college graduation I worked for six months in a cancer research lab, which gave me the knowledge of "real life" science and how that effects our lives I have worked as an after school and summer camp counselor which has helped me learn how to relate to them, and teach them material they are learning in school.
