I am a native Japanese speaker with formal graduate-level training in Teaching Japanese as Foreign Language from the University of Iowa. I have over four (4) years of teaching Japanese classes at a university setting. I also have experience teaching business Japanese to professionals as well as Japanese culture to elementary school students. I enjoy teaching.
JAPANESE TEACHING EXPERIENCE
UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN Lincoln, Nebraska
Full-time Lecturer August 1999 – May 2001
Instructed 1st and 2nd year Japanese courses as the lead lecturer. Developed course curriculums, prepared examinations, and hosted Japanese culture workshop: cooking, art, and film. Also taught introductory business Japanese course to professionals in the Lincoln community during the summer of 2000.

Teaching Style
Situational and communicative. Have students practice in Japanese as much as possible during the session. Provide a real-life setting into the class to promote students' learning.
My Hobbies
Yoga, healthy cooking, Latin music and culture.
