Experience Summary
I tutored elementary students at Bennett Elementary School in Fargo for a year, helping them with reading skills and work.
As a professional communicator, I have worked in broadcast and print journalism and have been a professional writer for 17 years. I have extensive writing and grammatical skills. I have worked for reputable companies, such as Microsoft, as a marketing manager.
On a personal level, I have taught Sunday School to ages 3-13 for 10 years at Triumph Church in Moorhead and I taught taekwondo at the ATA Black Belt Academy for one year.
I am a mother of two and enjoy working with children.
Teaching Style
I am a very interactive teacher and connect easily with the students. I am able to see the potential in each child and can work wtih the individual to help them succeed. Building the child's confidence is the most important goal I have as it allows them to focus on the skill they are trying to learn and they are willing to take risks and open their minds to learning. I would enjoy helping making an immediate positive impact in each child's life.
