I am a Latin teacher who tries to make every part of the language accessible to all students. I teach grades 7 through 12. I have taught AP courses, advanced ancient history courses, as well as classes such as Latin I, II, III, etc. Working one-on-one, I help students to identify problem areas and focus our attention there. I also can help come up with good strategies to memorize vocabulary or understand complex grammatical structures. I like to make Latin something fun that sticks with you, rather than dull and boring. I've spent a lot of time in Rome studying and can explain a lot about the history, archaeology, and culture behind readings and vocabulary.

I hold a Ph.D. in Classics, a multidisciplinary field that focuses on all aspects of the ancient Greek and Roman world. Having graduated with a BS in Mathematics I am now continuing my passion for learning while pursuing a masters degree in Nurse Anesthesia. Since the time I was ABD, I have taught and tutored Latin, Greek, and Classics in translation classes both at the high school and college levels. Currently, I teach Latin (1st, 2nd, and 3rd year) at a local high school as well as Greek and Latin at the Pontifical College Josephinum.
