Experience Summary
I am a graduate of Walnut Hills High School, finishing in the top 3 percent in my class, and was a recipient of the Yale University Award for Outstanding Intellect and Character. I received my Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Cincinnati in 2002, obtaining a degree in Biochemistry. I have previous tutoring experience at Walnut Hills, helping students prepare for math and science subjects for the SAT. I am confident my experience will be an ideal fit for your requirements.
Teaching Style
My teaching style focuses on collaboration with the student, ensuring that knowledge is recieved organically, and not forcibly. Having been a student myself, I understand the importance of appealing to a child's sensibilities and multiple intelligences; not every child learns in the same way. As such, I am committed to incorporating a variety of methods (such as visual, auditory and written) to reinforce the concepts as simply as possible. I subscribe to the idea that, in order for children to reach their potential, they must be challenged to strive.
