When it comes to just learning English period I am very cultural and I take advantage of the auxiliary sense and make you put it to good use. It can be a tad rough trying to explain the context of English without the content. The content are the random people having everyday conversation. Of, course you need to know the logistics and grammar but, I am a firm believer that you can't possibly know where a comma goes if you don't know what your saying or how. I have taught Shakespeare in grades 7-12 and on the university level. I was awarded a scholarship where I studied Shakespeare in London for 3 weeks. Student centered instruction is the approach I use in my instruction. That means that the student's needs and learning style direct the way the information will be delivered and activities that will guide the learning.
