A good description of my teaching style sould be very descriptive, and easy to follow. I break down the math into a series of steps, and practice them until they are mastered. For the students that have already decided that they hate math, I try to excite them with topics that they can relate to, such as sports, or cooking. I have always enjoyed working with people. This is why I chose psychology as my major in college. A short while after graduation I worked as a tutor. At The DePaul School of Northeast Florida, I was a part-time tutor. I was hired as a full time teacher at DePaul and worked there for six years. I then decided to take time off from teaching and spent three years working in social services. During my time in social services I worked with children and their families and continued tutoring students in the evenings. Professional experience started with enlistment in the U.S navy in the year 2000, as a helicopter mechanic for 5 years. After an honorable discharge I've been an employee of Florida State College at Jacksonville as an instructional assistant in math and computers. Following this experience I was hired as an Arabic all call interpreter with language line in Monterey California.
