Michelle was a Radio City Music Hall Rockette and an Assistant Choreographer for the Radio City Rockettes. As a Rockette, Michelle has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Today Show, the Tony Awards and many many others. As an Assistant Choreographer Michelle has taught and managed a cast of over a hundred. Other credits: Saturday Night Live, MTV Music Awards and the movie Uptown Girls.

I have enjoyed teaching and tutoring a wide range of students in a vast array of different settings. Most recently, I have tutored reading to 4th graders at an elementary school, taught ESL and GED subjects to adults through an adult education center, and taught creative writing to 5th-8th graders at a summer camp. I have also tutored Japanese-speaking businessmen in English as well as American culture, and tutored a family from Hong-Kong in English communication, writing, and college preparation. I am also a former professional clown and have over 13 years experience working closely with children. I believe in "Assertive Discipline". This style uses lots of verbal praise, rewards and incentives. It keeps learning on a positive, moving forward track. This style of teaching is never negative. It encourages learning through engaging, age-appropriate, research-based, fun activities. It starts by assessing each child to determine the student's strengths and weaknesses. Then the appropriate materials are gathered to address each area of need. Tests, charts, diagrams, folders, manipulatives, and many other electronic learning tools are used to track progress and build confidence in each student.
