In 2009, I graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor degree in Classics with a minor in Art History. During my senior year, I was the primary Latin instructor for a 7 year old home schooled student. I developed a curriculum for a full year's worth of classes as well as designed learning activities to instruct in the Roman culture in addition to Latin.

I am a firm believer that the science subjects are not as difficult as many students are afraid they are. In many cases, examples are helpful in learning. Examples that are tailored to a specific student (e.g. drawing correlations to cooking for measurements, or sports for averages) can be a great basis for understanding concepts. I have done classroom teaching and one-on-one teaching. I prefer the one-on-one approach because it is so effective, and so satisfying for myself and the student when progress is made.
