Received 1st Place for Unpublished Poetry in the 2008 Tulsa Public Library's Creative Writing Contest. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia in 2000, I went on to study Poetry with renowned poets Bill Knott and John Skoyles at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon finishing my thesis I moved to Oklahoma to be close to my family, where I continued pursuing my literary interests by volunteering my services to read for international literary journal Nimrod, published out of the University of Tulsa. Currently, I read for Nimrod Magazine and tutor.
