I have a communicative and interactive approach to teaching. I believe that a child learns best when actively involved in the process of learning and discovery. I am also a very patient person and feel that a nurturing, calm and positive environment is the key to success in learning. I recognize that students learn through different methods and I know how to present complex information in a variety of ways so that a student grasps the topic. After graduating college in 2003, I taught 9th grade English for 2 years in a charter school in Houston, TX.
