Beyond the subject matter and what I will be teaching, I have to spend some time getting to know the child. If I do not take the time to make them feel important and show that they have value, then the teaching part is meaningless. A relationship has to be established not only between a teacher and a student but, between two human beings. I don't think there is a better feeling then to see a student be proud they were able master something they thought impossible. If I had to say what method I used to teach students, I would have to say that every student is different, and that what works for one may not work for the other. I would say my approach would be to first understand what may be causing them to struggle, then working from there to teach them to be confident in their ability, and providing the appropriate tools needed to succeed.

I started teaching Sunday School when I was in Junior High. I taught a little boy in my class how to read and it was the most rewarding experience I have ever encountered. As aforementioned, throughout high school, I began tutoring students in Math, English, Spanish, Science, and History. I tutored one 6th grade student who was ADHD.
