More About This Tutor...

I did not graduate from high school but I knew I had to and could put myself through college. It was during this time in my life that I began to appreciate the importance of education. It was after this time that my past situation aided me in landing my first job in education. I was offered a position to teach non-traditional high school students who were just like I used to be. Honestly, I never had thought about becoming a teacher and really did not want to accept the job. After three months of teaching I was in love. I could relate to the students that, for whatever reason, were struggling. When I teach, I never feel like I am working. I have since moved in to the public sector of education and have found just as much happiness as ever.

I have earned a BS in political science from Florida State University and a MS in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have taken my passion for psychology and education and implemented it in the classroom. I have taught in a Montessori setting, interned as a play therapist, and recentlty taught 5th grade for Miami Dade County Public Schools.
