In graduate school, my teaching work included leading discussion and lab sections in organic and general chemistry. Duties included preparing and delivering presentations, review of class concepts and homework problems, and office hour help sessions to ensure student understanding and success passing tests. More recently, I developed and delivered customized curriculum centered on drug discovery and genomics topics targeted to biotechnology professionals. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a PhD in Zoology from The Ohio State University and over the past 25 years I have taught at Columbus Technical Institute and Portland State University. I have taught courses in General Biology, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Ecology and a graduate course in Limnology. At Portland State I was also involved in a research program to improve student outcomes. This project attempted to improve student's experiences in a cost effective manner, establish an infrastructure that helps implement technology, and evaluate the effectiveness of educational technology on student learning.
