I like students to be comfortable, enjoy their experiences with me as much as possible, and learn not only the material they need to study, but also habits and practices that will help them with future studies.

After receiving my degree at Northwest College in Kirkland (now University), I worked, enhanced my music skills, married and had children. From 1995-1996 I obtained my TESL certificate at Edmonds Community College. I tutored two middle school students from Korea for one year. Then I taught 9th grade English to 15 international students at Snohomish County Christian School for one year. I realized that the only way for me to really reach students was by reducing the teacher-student ratio. As a tutor, I found that teaching smaller groups of students or one-on-one was for me.
