As a Highly Qualified Teacher in Alabama, I am certified P-6 expiring in 2015. I have altogether 15 years experience tutoring students from ages 6-24 year olds tutoring college students in Economics, Math, and Speech. I earned a Masters Degree in Elementary Education in May 2005 and a Bachelors in Accounting. I taught three years in a school district in Alabama and currently substitute teach for Muscogee County in Columbus and Fort Benning.

What I have learned working with students is that many do not learn in the same manner. I beleive in what is called top process learning. Given the student a concept and allowing them to explore the possibilities of how one arrives at such a concept has allowed deeper critical thinking and strategic planning. However, this method is not predominately taught in Georgia education system. I have found this method to be very effective. The other method is patience. Students who strugge with their academic learning usually are having other areas of difficulty which may be social learning. Having clinical training allows me to make a more accurate assessment.
