What I have learned working with students is that many do not learn in the same manner. I beleive in what is called top process learning. Given the student a concept and allowing them to explore the possibilities of how one arrives at such a concept has allowed deeper critical thinking and strategic planning. However, this method is not predominately taught in Georgia education system. I have found this method to be very effective. The other method is patience. Students who strugge with their academic learning usually are having other areas of difficulty which may be social learning. Having clinical training allows me to make a more accurate assessment.

20 year corporate management and 15 years of individual owner business experience. Presently own a finance company. 10 years International living experience. Teaching experience at the University of Iowa as a graduate instructor for undergraduate Management courses. Strength of educational experience is math, finance, economics and accounting, social science and political science. Presentation and test passing skills - yes it is a skill.

My experience includes 2 years as a Youth Counselor for the City of Tallahassee (1999 & 2001). I am also the oldest of 5 children with the age difference ranging from 6-16 years, so I've had the responsibility of assisting my siblings with school work. I currently continue to provide assistance as requested by my parents or siblings. I recently began mentoring a prospective accounting major who is in her 2nd year of college and I provide help with her studies. In High School, I took accounting courses as elective and participated in FBLA (a business club) and won first place in an accounting competition (2000).
