I enjoy teaching students of all ages.I do not have a set teaching style. I use several methods during our tutoring sessions. During the last 10 years I have worked with all levels of students, preschool through college levels. These areas include reading, math, english, psychology, science and social studies. I am a self starter and have worked with parents when I owned/operated my private daycare. I have since then worked with children in low poverty communities in Atlanta Georgia, in order to provide an alternative method to learning to ensure that children receive the appropriate level of understanding of various subjects.

I have taught two years of middle school and home schooled my daughter. I have worked as a substitute teacher on and off for several years. My emphasis in college was English and Math so I feel very comfortable teaching either of these subjects as well as reading.
My teaching style is flexible. Students learn in different ways and at different paces. It is my job to discover how the students learn and what they respond best to. For some subjects, repetition is very important and for others a clearer understanding of the concepts involved is more valuable. I like to start with small skills and build on them.
