As the second oldest of six kids I have a lot of at-home experience in tutoring. With a BA in Biology I feel very equipped to teach children in sciences. I have taken Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics and every other major science. I intend on taking one year off before attending medical school. I have earned my bachelors in Biology which makes me highly qualified to tutor in math and science. While I was in college I tutored students in 3rd-8th grade with math. I also received a Masters degree in Education which helped me learn different ways to teach subjects for higher achievement.
I love to help children understand a subject better. It is a great feeling to see a student get the idea after being helped. I believe that every student is capable of learning; it all depends on their learning style. Originally, in college, I was an Education major but, the hours required by the education department for Biology seemed meager. So I switched my major to Biology and graduated in the summer of 2009. I thoroughly enjoyed tutoring my peers in college in the general biology courses.
