Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I help him on a daily basis with his homework, which includes math, reading and writing. I love kids and it brings great joy to my life to see the smile on their faces when they learn something new, or figure out the answer to a problem they are working on.

During high school, college, and as a working professional, I have taught students voluntarily and professionally in various subject matters. I worked at Sylvan Learning Center tutoring students in mathematics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and phonics. Also, I've taught high school chemistry and biology at a small private school in Raleigh for two years. I have experience teaching 2 years in a doctor's office (Vision therapy)I have kept children in my home (home day care) for over 5 years. I worked in a hospital setting for 5 years, clerical work.
