My teaching experience includes several semesters of substitute teaching, and tutoring locally for 2+ years as a part-time job, dirived from volunteering as a tutor for family members and friends. As a tutor, it is my job to help students with whatever it is they are struggling in and turn their struggles to successes. I specialize in working with those who want to become better readers - comprehension, fluence, vocabulary, phonics and spelling are all key to becoming a better reader. Patience is one word to describe my teaching style. My main objective is to work with students on goal-setting and then concentrate on how to meet those goals.

Helping others is something that I have always enjoyed doing. While, I may not have the qualifications stating that I can tutor someone, I do have the ability and do have experience in training people at my previous employment. I think that it takes a lot of patience to be able to train or tutor someone and that is something that I possess.
