I have been working in a corporate environment for over 20 years, giving presentations, writing reports, and corresponding with all levels of management with success. I am proficient with all Microsoft Office applications. I have tutored and assisted my own step-sons in their High School projects over the last three years, and their grades were always exemplary.

I was more of an instructor than a teacher. I was a day camp counselor at Solway House parent/child resort in Saugerties N.Y. I instructed kids how to swim, dive, play various sports and gave dancing lessons to the guests. As a high school student I tutored 7th and 8th graders in an after school community center. I was one of a few staff at the University of Connecticut to instruct graduates and staff in the use of the various electronic facilites available to them.
I feel children are very self-aware and are very vulnerable to positive and negative feedback. Therefore, no matter how little progress is made, praise them. Education is fundamental for our youth as they are the foundation of the future. Teaching is a passion for me because it is adventurous. I believe that every lesson must be creative and interesting. Fact of the matter is that learning can be difficult from and therefore approaching tutoring from a hands-on perspective may be more productive for the student as well as the instructor.
