My comments on tutoring American History : Do you want the history behind the history? Look to me for the reasons why things happened the way they did and how that affected history.

I like to involve all the senses: hearing new material; experiencing the reality of an abstract concept and finally teaching or responding it back to show that the lesson has been absorbed at several levels. I like to have fun with teaching so the student will learn to love learning for his or her self.

Experience throughout school, work and personal experience dealing with the mentally challenged and dyslexia. my best friend had a son who was dyslexic and also he had ADD and I got him to trust me in babysitting and I taught him various things. I taught him how to read and write he could not accomplish that on his own. He was 11 at the time and I think with kids you have to be creative to teach them and I am very creative. A Little Bit About Me...

Ever since I was introduced to American Sign Language (ASL), I have been deeply fascinated in the language and its speakers. A year after my initial experience with ASL, I decided to create my own Bachelor's Degree at the University of Utah. I was able to design curriculum pertaining to my desired field of interest. In preparation for college, I knew that in order to get into the kind of small private colleges I was looking for, earning a high enough score on the standardized exams like the SAT and ACT was very important. Although I scored very well on both tests, my writing and reasoning skills underwent great improvement in my college's intensive honors program for accelerated studies.
