In 2013 I went on a 2 year LDS mission to what was then the Russia, Vladivostok mission. For those two years I lived in Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude, Russia which is in Southern Siberia and then lived in Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, and Ussuryisk, Russia which are cities on the Eastern coast of Russia. I lived for a total of 6 months with native Russians and only spoke Russian for those 6 months which really helped me to master the language. When I got home in 2015, I took high level Russian classes at Utah State University and received a minor in Russian.
